Aufgabe

Ein Waffenhersteller möchte einen Schießtunnel neu aufrüsten, um die Mündungsgeschwindigkeit von Maschinengewehren zu messen. Bei der Prüfung werden sowohl Einzelschüsse als auch Salven abgefeuert. Die Kugeln durchfliegen 2 Lichtschranken, um eine Geschwindigkeitsmessung vorzunehmen. Auf diese Weise kann man die Flugzeit der Kugel zwischen den beiden Lichtschranken stoppen und somit ihre Geschwindigkeit ausrechnen. Das System muss präzise genug sein, um eine Dauer von 500 µs bis 10 ms zu messen.

Lösung

Um die Zeit zu messen, die eine Kugel benötigt, um von der ersten bis zur zweiten Lichtschranke zu gelangen, wurde das intelligente Ethernet-Multifunktionszählersystem MSX-E1701 eingesetzt. Hierfür werden zwei Zählereingänge für die Lichtschranken verwendet. Die benötigte Zeit wird anhand der Differenz der Zeitstempel beider Eingänge errechnet. Das System ist mit der Schutzart IP 65 ausgerüstet und ist daher resistent gegen den Pulverstaub, der in dem Schießtunnel entsteht. Ein Rechner ist nicht notwendig, da das System die erfassten Werte eigenständig verrechnet und auswertet. Die Ethernet-Verbindung ermöglicht die Übertragung der Werte zu einem Bildschirm, der sich in einem anderen Raum befindet.The Ethernet connection allows the data transfer to a display screen in another room.
