CPCI-3120 – DAQ CPCI Card – Analog Inputs/Outputs
The CompactPCI analog I/O card CPCI-3120 has 16 SE/8 differential inputs, 16-bit, with a througput rate of 100 kHz. The 8 analog ouputs have a 14-bit resolution. All output lines are protected against short-circuits and equipped with EMI filters. Each output has its own ground line. The 24-bit timer can be used as cyclical counter or as watchdog. The card is especially suited for applications in the sector of industrial process control, measurement technology and monitoring, for example for multichannel data acquisition, for the control of chemical processes, for the acquisition of sensor data etc.
NEW: The CPCI-3120 is now operating in the extended temperature range -40°C to +85°C

Measurement of railways tracks to reduce the wear and to optimise the travelling speed
A railway company wants a system for the measurement of railway tracks (elevations, depressions etc.) and of the contact or force between pantograph and overhead traction line in order to reduce the wear and to optimise the travelling speed.
